OpenFunnel Discovery Agents - TL;DR

Real-time agents that surface buying signals across your qualified TAM. Each one mines a different public data source - job posts, social activity, hiring moves, competitor outreach and returns companies or people matching a live signal you define. Pick the agent that matches the signal you’re hunting.

Find companies by what they’re doing

  • Job Posts → Reads between the lines of job descriptions to surface companies adopting a new technology, restructuring a team, or wrestling with a specific pain point before they announce it publicly. e.g. “companies moving from OpenAI to Custom Models”
  • Social Posts → Scans LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google for companies publicly talking about a milestone, announcement, or topic you care about. e.g. “companies posting about their Agent product launch”
  • Technographics → Infers a company’s tech stack from its job postings. Query with a specific tool name to find every company hiring against it. e.g. “Kubernetes”, “Snowflake”

Find the right people

  • Job Changes → Monitors LinkedIn for ICPs who just started a new role (filtering out internal promotions). New joiners arrive with fresh budgets and a mandate to change things — a prime outreach window.
  • LinkedIn Engagement → Drop in any LinkedIn profile or company URL; the agent tracks which of your ICPs are liking or commenting on it. Aggregated engagement from multiple ICPs at one account is a strong in-market signal.
  • Competitor Spy → Point it at a competitor sales rep’s LinkedIn profile and it surfaces the accounts they’re actively warming up — so you can get there first, with the right ICP contact already identified.
  • People Posts → Searches what individual prospects are publicly posting on LinkedIn by topic, event, or announcement. e.g. “people posting about attending SaaStr”
> Default lookback on most agents is the last 3 months, adjustable from 1 day to 1 year. Prompt formats and full examples for each agent are below. OpenFunnel Discovery Agents help you discover custom insights in real-time - and the people associated with them - across your qualified TAM.

Search Millions of Job Posts to find Companies with Relevant Live Insights

This agent reads deep into job postings — which reveal far more than open roles. The tools, problems, and strategic priorities buried in job descriptions are a window into what a company is building or struggling with, often before they’ve said so publicly. Prompting style: Find companies that are looking to [activity] or facing [pain point] Example prompts:
  • Find companies that are looking to adopt Kubernetes
  • Find companies that are scaling their PLG motion
  • Find companies that are moving from Heroku to AWS
  • Find companies facing challenges with VM-based deployment looking to move to Kubernetes
Time Frame: Last day to last year (default: last 3 months)

Search Millions of Social Posts to find Companies with Relevant Insights

This agent searches what companies are publicly posting across LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google — so your query should describe what you want them to be talking about. Prompting style: Find companies posting about [topic or milestone or announcement] Example prompts:
  • Find companies posting about their Series A round
  • Find companies posting about growing their GTM team
  • Find companies posting about attending RSAC conference
  • Find companies posting about adding AI to their existing stack
Time Frame: Last day to last year

Search OpenFunnel’s GTMWiki.ai for Companies with Relevant Insights

This agent searches GTMWiki.ai, OpenFunnel’s enriched database of company profiles — so your query can describe what a company is (trait) and/or what it’s doing (activity). You can fill in one or both fields — at least one is required. Example prompts:
  • Trait: Health-tech companies | Activity: Building voice AI tools
  • Trait: Series A fintech startups
  • Activity: Using Salesforce and hiring ML engineers
  • Trait: Insurance companies | Activity: Implementing API integrations

Search for all Companies that use specific Technographics (source job boards)

This agent infers technology stack from job postings — so your query should be a specific tool, platform, or technology name rather than a general description. Example prompts:
  • Kubernetes
  • Snowflake
  • React
Time Frame: Last day to last year (default: last 3 months)

People Insight Discovery Agents

Monitor all ICP people at qualified companies changing jobs

This agent monitors LinkedIn for people who have recently joined a new company — distinguishing genuine new hires from internal promotions, so your outreach reaches the right person at the right moment. New joinees come in with budgets, plans, and ideas — making it an ideal time to reach out.

Track ICPs interacting with relevant LinkedIn People and Company Profiles

This agent tracks who from your ICP is liking or commenting on any LinkedIn profile — so the input is a LinkedIn URL, not a text query. Engagement with a profile’s content is a strong in-market signal. Time Frame: Last day to last year What to keep in mind:
  • Drop in any LinkedIn profile URL, either individual or company.
  • Single likes don’t mean a thing - they’re spammy. View aggregated signals in Accounts, where multiple ICPs within a company react to the same profile.
  • Company pages usually have less reach; CEOs, CPOs, and Marketing Heads are good targets.
  • OpenFunnel auto-qualifies posts relevant to your industry, excluding non-professional posts.

Spy on your Competitor’s Sales Reps in Real-time

This agent scans a competitor’s LinkedIn activity to surface accounts they are actively engaging with - so the input is an individual competitor’s LinkedIn profile URL. Sales reps use LinkedIn as part of multichannel outreach to warm prospects, so this agent effectively alerts you when a competitor’s sales team is entering your territory accounts — before they close the deal. It also helps identify the right ICP contact at an account that your competitor is actively warming up. What to keep in mind:
  • Drop in any competitor LinkedIn profile URL, individual only.
  • Discover who your competitors are targeting before they close the deal.
  • Use the Max Pages setting to control how deep the scan goes.
  • OpenFunnel auto-qualifies results against your ICP, filtering out non-relevant engagements.
